A happy Friday to you all!
How is everyone?
We have had an exceptionally busy week here.
2 weddings
1 family session
And after tomorrow I’ll have seen 9 boudoir clients.
Throw in some actual life (a concert, gym, kids, dogs) and boyo it’s been a whirlwind. So much so that I write this from the bath and will head to bed with a book after.
It’s so wonderful to be so busy though. Truly leaning into feeling grateful at the moment and let it be known I’m so thankful to be able to call this work.
For those of you who follow my TikTok you’ll have seen I’m down a big F1 rabbit hole so on Sunday I’m going to meet a former client (/friend now 🥹) in Glasgow to watch it with her so she can answer all the questions I’m inevitably going to have. I do Enjoy a new hyper fixation 😂
Anyway I also had a conversation with a client today: she’s newly separated and navigating the dating world and I just wanted to reiterate here what I said earlier because I’m sure many people need to hear it.
If someone is displaying behaviour that you don’t Enjoy and is not what you want to put up with. Dont.
Don’t put up with it.
For me at the start of week that was inconsistent communication that was disappointing and disrespectful (the old chestnut of being present on socials but silent on your messsges, something I didn’t think they’d behave like ever but that’s not the point) so I walked away.
I’m not sure when we all decided we would accept breadcrumbs as the norm, or disrespect as the norm but let’s not?
Know your worth. If you want more then don’t settle for less.
Draw a line. Move on.
It’s hard to implement these boundaries when you’re used to accepting such substandard behaviour but for a change to happen you have to change.
That’s my piece. I hope it resonates with someone.
I really liked this person, but I deserve more.
