Opinions are like……

I’ve been thinking of what to liken them to.
Clothes? Some you hate. Some you love. Some will never be your style. Some for special occasions. Some you’ll never look at (for whatever reason)
I think it’s so important to determine, for yourself, how important other people’s opinion of something is to you.
I saw this post about an image of mine

So a few things -
I think you all know at this point opinions are not something I pay attention to. Ever. Don’t get me wrong this isn’t always a good thing.
Unsolicited opinions/advice…… I’m sorry. No ta.
Secondly, this wasn’t on my business page or personal page. This was on another business page.
Does the context matter? Genuine question. In any circumstance does context matter when forming your opinion on something?
I’ll tell you it does for me. I’ll never take a situation at face value. I’m all about the questions (much to the dismay of others around me)
I have a few points I think, which I hope I can articulate in a calm and understanding manner.
not enjoying the photographer style is so ok. Style is so personal. I take NO offence at that. We should like and dislike things in life. Compare and contrast is the foundation of a lot of our feelings in life.
Voicing an opinion on how a business conducts their marketing…… people these days think everyone wants to hear their opinion. They think their opinion is so important. I’m sure you know that’s nonsense. The business in this instance responded in best way I’ve ever seen btw
What I took from his comment was I now know everything I need to know about this man. He’s shown more of his thought process than a lot of people ever do and I take that as a positive. Why? Because he’s shown me that he’s not the type of person who’s opinion I’d respect anyway (I’m sure I don’t need to explain why this is) so why would his comment affect or change me in any way?
So I hope what you take from this is…… sometimes we can care TOO much about what people think but sometimes we shouldn’t care at all.
Find out where your happy medium is and work on getting better at either ignoring or accepting opinions/advice.
